Our kids' progress is due to the variety of treatment modalities and equipment we use, sensory integration4ration, myofascial release, therapeutic listening, aquatic and traditional land based intervention to mention a few.
The ABC's of Reading/Literacy Language & Speech is a therapy group for children ages 2-5. It is great for any child, especially for kids who are late talkers, kids with Down Syndrome, apraxia of speech, Cerebral Palsy, sensory, tone and other motor speech needs, hearing, learning, and other developmental needs.
We will be using multi-sensory techniques because it makes practice more fun. Professionals know that multi-sensory techniques deliver new concepts to more areas of the brain increasing the brain's processing of information.
Our Early Reading focus is on phonemic awareness, a key foundation of reading success. We learn rhyming, syllables, and sounds-in-words awareness.
The Early Language focus is on both early grammar and concepts like nouns and pronouns, verbs, colors, shapes, adjectives, prepositions, letters and many more of the necessary skills to get kids ready for school!
Early Speech focuses on increasing a child's overall intelligibility, how well others understand a child's speech. We start with auditory and listening skills, move to rules for making words and then work more in-depth with individual sounds.
We give you support for transferring what you learn in The ABC's of Reading/Literacy Language & Speech to home! We feature the multi-sensory cues from the Dino Cave Kids series Sounds from th eDino Cave (see www.dinocavekids.com for more information.) It is not necessary to purchase videos for class as short segments of the videos will be shown in each session.
It is so important for a child with speech-language needs to have speech work from the earliest age and to develop core vocabulary as soon as possible. Parents can attend for the entire class or for the final 15 minutes depending on the class, child and session.
Class Dates, Time and Information
Speech School is a 10-week session. Space is limited to 6 children per class. Opportunity for make-up classes are available. The price for this 10-week session is only $150.00 (This equals only $15.00 per class!) Call to schedule your child for class today!
