Theraplayce is owned and operated by a pediatric occupational therapist with 20 years experience with special needs children. Theraplayce works with many colleges and universities to provide clinical instruction for occupational therapy students including Creighton University and College of St. Mary. Our setting offers occupational therapy students the opportunity to develop skills, gain knowledge and provide goal oriented therapy to the pediatric population we serve. Each special needs child is able to receive several hours of therapist directed interaction during the day.
With a vast amount of knowledge in the pediatric setting, Theraplayce provides a variety of sensory, motor, self help and socialization learning settings. Children who receive services at Theraplayce make progress and are provided daily input and modifications to facilitate skill development, eliminate fear and apprehension and gain self confidence.
The staff at Theraplayce is trained to work with special needs children and is dedicated to providing quality care and education. Our daycare setting is small so that each child's personality is learned and the children get to know the staff very well.
Our daycare center focuses on physical enablement, sensory interaction, problem solving, decision making and self help, while promoting interpersonal communications. These are key elements that contribute to the child's development, self esteem and success.
Theraplayce has two convenient locations. Our location at 50th & L offers child care and pediatric therapy services. Our location at 156th & Maple offers therapy and aquatics (swimming therapy).
The Barn is located in Gretna and is a child development play center where children can use the skills they have developed.
The children who participate in activities at Theraplayce receive discounts for activities and events at The Barn.
