Our daycare works hard to stay posted on the most up-to-date teaching methods. We are constantly changing our curriculum but maintain basic methods that we believe nurture children’s learning. Our methods are exemplified in the activities we do with the kids. Each child's individual program needs are built into their day.

Affordable Child Care
One of the many benefits of Theraplayce besides its quality services, is the daily charge, rather than the standard weekly cost. Parents can then work part time, run errands or just have free time one day at a time. We do recommend calling ahead for occasional drop-ins so we will be adequately staff.
Multiple services discount
If you also receive occupational/physical therapy our multiple services discount will be applied. Our goal is to allow special needs children the opportunity to receive quality care and peer interaction during the day and parents the peace of mind to know they are in good hands in a therapeutic and caring atmosphere. An additional benefit to our children is that we will transport to our Maple location for aquatic therapy.
Transportation
We are located in the Omaha Public School district and many of our children are picked up and dropped off at Theraplayce. For a small charge we also provide transportation to and from school for special needs kids who do not qualify for school transportation.
Staff
Our staff participates in in-services that relate to special needs kids developmental concerns. Whether it be how to recognize and handle sensory overload and melt down or apply bracing and work with equipment. Our staff is trained to recognize texture and eating concerns, difficulty with fine and gross motor skills and sensory issues. When a child begins attendance at Theraplayce parent input is combined with a therapist evaluation. The therapist then develops a program for that child to be carried out throughout the day. Our staff is trained in CPR and first aid. Our staff is very aware of sensory issues and the varieties of behaviors that may come with sensory problems.
Why Theraplayce works
Theraplayce has been providing child care and preschool/kindergarten readiness to special needs kids since 1995. We rarely experience outbursts or melt downs. The children at Theraplayce are provided with an opportunity to engage in sensory and movement activities to help calm. Our main activity room is also our room with the suspended therapy equipment and a variety of swings, nets, bouncers and ball pit. Since children have access to the therapy equipment all day if needed they get to address personal issues as they arise. They soon learn to play with other kids on the swings, obstacle course and other gross motor activities,
